Cheddar’s beginning is heartbreaking—but not uncommon for kittens born to strays. His mother was tragically killed in a car accident and did not survive. When rescuers found Cheddar, he was still nursing on her partially decomposed body, unaware she was gone.

Despite the trauma, Cheddar is a fighter. He’s now receiving around-the-clock care in a loving foster home where he’s being bottle-fed, cleaned, and closely monitored. His journey will be long, but with the support of Bowe’s Buddies, Cheddar is getting the second chance he deserves.

Cheddar will remain in foster care for the next few months as he grows stronger and prepares for his forever future.
